Festival film eyes division

Have your say

THE Edinburgh People’s Festival, now in its 12th year, is set to embark on its most ambitious project yet – making a film about the Capital as a divided city.

The 18-month project will be undertaken by professional film-makers with a budget of £100,000 and released to the public next year.

Organisers say ‘Edinburgh: A Divided city’ will dig beneath the surface of Britain’s second richest city, contrasting the Edinburgh of palaces, festivals, corporate HQs and wealth, with the gritty reality faced by many people in low-paid jobs.
