Film club has eyes on prize

Glitz and glamour is beckoning for a Midlothian film club after it was nominated for two awards.

Moorflix – formerly Temple Community Cinema – has earned two nominations at the BFFS Film Society of the Year Awards in London.

The club is in the running for the Best New Society and the Jim Dempster Award for Innovation.

The group stages screenings of movies in village halls and promotes local filmmaking.
