Film fest set to rope us in

THE best climbers, mountaineers and adventurers will descend on the Capital next month for the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival.

The ninth annual event will feature screenings of films at Edinburgh University’s George Square Lecture Theatre, with extra events at Ratho’s EICA.

Among special guests from the world of extreme sports is Karina Hollekim, who survived hitting the ground at 100kph when her parachute failed during a BASE jump.
