Film-makers aim to light-up movie festival

BUDDING young film-makers will be showcasing their talents on the silver screen.

The youngsters from Broughton High will have their film, One in a Million, screened at the 45th Co-operative Film Festival, which is being held at the National Media Museum in Bradford next week.

The entry was one of 92 chosen from 162 productions submitted by young film-makers from across the UK and beyond.

The selected films include drama, documentary, animation and comedy films as well as music videos, and they will be shown over eight screenings during the two-day event.

Festival organiser Alicia Walker said: “The 2011 Co-operative Film Festival is set to be the biggest in its 45-year history.

“The festival has helped showcase the talents of thousands of youngsters and inspired many to go on to work in the film industry.”
