A TEAM of firefighters is preparing to cycle the length of Britain to raise money for the Capital’s Oaklands School.

Ten cyclists and two drivers from Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service will set off from Land’s End tomorrow, and plan to take a detour past the school on their ten-day journey to John O’Groats.

The team, based at Crewe Toll, is halfway to its target of raising £10,000 for the school, which caters for youngsters with additional support needs.
