EAST Lothian’s Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) is seeking applications for funds from an £86,000 pot aimed at revitalising fishing communities.

Councillor Stuart MacKinnon, economic development spokesman, said: “The FLAG has developed a local fisheries development strategy with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of fisheries by encouraging them to improve their knowledge and skills, and innovate and co-operate in order to increase awareness of diversification opportunities, promote development of tourism and start business advisory services.”
