Five Guys restaurant chain to open in Edinburgh city centre

A US fast food chain is set to open two new restaurants in the Capital.

US chain Five Guys is to open two new restaurants in Edinburgh.

Senior figures at Five Guys Burgers and Fries said the first would open this Friday in Frederick Street, with a second due to launch in Fountain Park on July 7.

The firm currently has a restaurant at Fort Kinnaird.

One of the most popular restaurant chains in the US, Five Guys was established in Virginia in 1986. The first British restaurant opened in Covent Garden in July 2013. Leaders at Five Guys boast that their food is always sourced locally, with customers able to find out which farm the beef and potatoes have come from by checking the restaurant’s notice board.
