Four on fake notes charge

FOUR people have been charged after forged £20 notes were used to buy goods at a number of stores.

The fake notes were passed at shops in the Regent Centre and High Street in Linlithgow, West Lothian, on Monday.

A 33-year-old man was set to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday, while two other men, aged 33 and 27, and a 37-year-old woman are due to appear at a later date.

Police have urged any other businesses that believe they may have been passed counterfeit notes to contact them.
