Four jailed in drugs sting

FOUR men who took part in an illegal operation to bring high purity cocaine into West Lothian have been jailed for a total of more than 20 years.

Richard Steele, 29, received an eight-year sentence, while drug couriers Martin Arthur, Mark Magdani and Andrew Hamilton got three, four and five years respectively.

Another man, Adnan Ul-Haq, was the main target of the police sting to stop class A drugs entering the area, and will be sentenced at a later date.

As part of the operation, officers intercepted drugs with a street value of around £200,000.
