Fred Goodwin’s demise gets 6/4 odds

Have your say

Bookmakers William Hill are offering odds of 6/4 that Sir Fred “The Shred” Goodwin will have his knighthood removed this year.

Labour leader Ed Miliband yesterday joined calls for the former RBS boss to be stripped of his knighthood, saying his party had been “clearly wrong” to recommend that Goodwin be recognised for “services to banking” in 2004.

The case has been referred to the Honours Forfeiture Committee, made up of some of the UK’s most senior civil servants.
