A LECTURE double-header on animal welfare is set to take place in the Lothians.

The event at the Roslin Institute in Midlothian will feature two leading experts on the issue from the Scottish Agricultural College.

Professors Jill Thomson and Malcolm Mitchell will deliver the free talks on December 6 from 3pm.

They will explore examples of animal disease investigation and how animal welfare is monitored in veterinary circles, as well as issues surrounding live animal transport.
