Funding joy for business

Two more Midlothian-based businesses have secured new funding that is expected to result in an increase in the number of people they employ over the next three years.

Taylor Plant Hire and Graham Schutte Interiors were given the funding as part of a local scheme.

On the approval of Midlothian Council, these businesses will now receive loans totalling £35,000 to help them develop their businesses further.

Councillor Russell Imrie, strategic services leader at Midlothian Council, said: “Both these companies operate in the construction sector – a key component of the Midlothian economy.

“Our main aim in approving these loans is to encourage and support the creation, development and growth of small and growing businesses.”
