Funeral for city teacher

THE funeral of a popular Edinburgh school teacher is to be held on Friday following his sudden death.

Jim Wyllie, who taught craft, design and technology at Leith Academy for 33 years, died at the Western General last Tuesday after suffering a stroke.

On Monday, the Evening News reported how Leith Academy was planning to set up a permanent memorial to Mr Wyllie, whose death left staff and pupils in tears.

His funeral will take place at 2pm on Friday at Warriston Crematorium.
