Gallery hosts art collection

One of the world’s most impressive private art collections is to go on show in the Capital.

Dimitris Daskalopoulos, a Greek tycoon and one of Europe’s leading art collectors, has agreed to exhibit his collection at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.

The collection, which has never been seen before in Scotland, features the work of Marcel Duchamp and Sarah Lucas and more than 400 works by around 170 international artists. It includes Duchamp’s iconic Fountain and Bunny Gets Snookered, a 1997 collection of mannequins arranged on and around a snooker table by Sarah Lucas.
