Garden open days fruitful

OPEN days at East Lothian gardens raised more than any other district in Scotland – netting £34,000 last year for several charities.

Scotland’s Gardens Scheme (SGS) raises funds for worthy charities by opening large and small gardens of horticultural interest throughout Scotland to the public. Most are privately owned.

Paddy Scott, SGS director said: “I warmly congratulate East Lothian on this outstanding result.”
