Television PRESENTER Gethin Jones joined in some early celebrations in the Capital ahead of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

As part of ITV breakfast show Daybreak’s royal coverage, Gethin drove over the drawbridge at Edinburgh Castle in a vintage Morris Minor to get the early-morning party started.

Viewers began arriving at the castle from 6.30am yesterday in order to take part in the event.

Wearing traditional highland dress for the occasion, Mr Jones said: “I am so excited about being in Edinburgh for the first day of our Jubilee Jamboree.”
