Give pets a home

ANIMAL lovers in Edinburgh and the Lothians are being urged to consider giving a rescue pet a home.

The Scottish SPCA will raise awareness of the benefits of taking on an unwanted, abandoned or neglected animal during Rehoming Week, which will run from March 19 to 25.

Its Edinburgh and the Lothians’ animal rehoming centre cared for 947 animals last year.

Manager Diane Stewart said: “All pets deserve a fresh start.”
