Gold star for secure unit

A RESIDENTIAL secure unit in the Capital has received a positive report from school inspectors.

The council-run Edinburgh Secure Services was praised for its “very positive” relationships between staff and young people, successful transitions and placements with local schools.

The personal and social skills of the young people were also highlighted, as well as the quality of young people’s learning experiences.

Inspectors also praised the quality of the leadership, and HMIE ruled that it will make no further visits regarding this inspection.
