Golfers plan club upgrade

BOSSES at a golf course are set to extend the clubhouse to create a member’s lounge and hotel rooms under plans submitted to East Lothian Council.

Craigielaw Golf Club in Aberlady has applied for planning permission to carry out the work at the clubhouse, which was opened in 2003.

The course itself opened in 2001 and has played host to the 2006 Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship and was a qualifying course for the 2007 British Seniors Open at Muirfield.
