SCOTLAND boss Gordon Strachan has revealed he once missed a game because of haemorrhoids – and had to attend hospital in his wife’s pink dressing gown.
The incident happened during his days as a player with Aberdeen in the 80s.
Strachan, who was brought up in Muirhouse, said he went to hospital in his wife’s pink dressing gown.
He said: “I turned up at the hospital on the Thursday night with my wife’s dressing gown on.
“I had to ask a mate, because I never had a car. He had to drive me and I had to lie face down in the back of the car.”
Speaking on Radio Scotland, he said of the dressing gown, “It was a wee pinky number.”
