Green is for go in Leith

an organisation set up to develop community renewable energy projects is asking residents of Leith to complete a survey to help its work.

Edinburgh Community Energy Co-op has an online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ECEC to gather information on average energy usage and gauge interest in running community-owned renewables projects in Leith. Hard copies of the survey can also be sent out – contact Pete Roche on 0131-444 1445.

The organisation will be holding Leith community energy day on October at Norton Park in Albion Road. The event will offer information on generating green energy locally, and on other energy projects. There will also be information on how to save energy at home.

The event runs from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
