Harbour art festival dropping anchor for sixth year in a row

A LOTHIANS arts festival is set to take place for the sixth year.

More than 100 venues will display and host work from more than 100 artists at the 3 Harbours Arts Festival in Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port Seton.

The festival, the largest and seen as the most diverse in East Lothian, will put on more than 50 events during the week-long event, beginning on June 2.

It will also include music, workshops, tours, trails, literature, film, photography and drama.

To keep visitors fed and watered, the Cockenzie Heritage Group will run a cafe from Cockenzie House, where displays will also reveal plans for the venue’s future.

A spokesman said: “It will create a fantastic atmosphere from harbour to harbour.”

Meanwhile, the heritage group already has plans in full swing for The Battle of Prestonpans Celebrations in September.
