A TOP Lothian consultant has welcomed the introduction of a new drug to treat bladder 

Betmiga, which can be used to treat incontinence, has been approved by the Scottish Medicines Consortium.

Ammar Alhasso, a consultant urological surgeon, said: “For decades, clinicians have only had one class of drug treatment to offer patients. The SMC approval of the treatment means patients in Edinburgh are offered a new option.”
