AS a child, David Anderson thought nothing of “having a bit of sun on my back”.
But that has caught up with the 62-year-old from Balerno, after a mole began to bleed. He said: “I couldn’t see how this could have happened. I was always careful with sunscreen.”
He then realised that the damage had been done decades before. He was given a one-in-four chance of survival, but came through the operation.
“The consultant said I could have been harbouring the cancer for 40-odd years,” he added.
