A MUM has spoken of her joy after giving birth in a taxi.
Emma Aitchison, 34, of Blackburn, was on her way to St John’s Hospital in Livingston when she realised her baby was about to be born.
With the help of her partner, Kevin Size, and taxi driver James Rafferty, baby Keira, weighing just 4lbs 15oz, was safely delivered by the roadside.
Emma said: “She was due on March 28, so she was four weeks early.”
She was full of praise for how both Kevin and James coped with the dramatic surprise delivery.
