Helicopter search for missing Kenny Allan

A POLICE helicopter has been launched in the search for a missing man from Dalkeith.

Kenny Allan, 46, hasn’t been seen since Friday morning in the Midlothian town.

The aerial search - which began at 12.30pm on Sunday - will cover ground between the City Bypass and Gorebridge.

Mr Allan is described as white, with a medium build and around 5ft 8in tall with thinning brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and brown boots. Mr Allan was also wearing a watch with a black leather strap and a gold necklace.

Inspector Jocelyn O’Connor of Dalkeith Police said: “This type of behaviour is considered completely out of character for Kenny. I would appeal to Kenny to get in contact with either his family or police to let us know his whereabouts.

“I would also ask anyone who has seen Kenny, or recognises his description, to get in touch immediately.”
