Here's how you report potholes and road issues in Edinburgh

It is fast becoming one of the major talking points in the Capital, but what can be done if there is a pothole on your street?

As reported in the Edinburgh Evening News, there is a backlog of more than 1,500 potholes are waiting to be filled.

The council stated that gritting and extreme weather has resulted in a large number of potholes, with the council stating that 66% of potholes have been repaired.

We also took a look at some of the worst affected roads in the Capital, but the crisis is not one that will solve itself.

In the past two months alone the council has had 4,467 potholes reported to them, and it is only through reporting that you can be sure the council are aware of the issue.

Users will need to sign in and can give a detailed description and location of the pothole.

Following this, a report will be submitted to the council.
