Hibs hero is streets ahead

HE once led the way as Hibs travelled the road to Hampden en route to lifting the Skol Cup – and now he’s laying the 
concrete himself.

Keith Wright – whose goal helped the Easter Road side to a 2-0 win over Dunfermline in 1991 – became a trainee road worker for a day ahead of Scottish Apprenticeship Week.

The former striker, now a football development officer at Midlothian Council, said: “I’m delighted to highlight the benefits of working as an apprentice. It’s something I’ve done myself while I was also playing part-time for Raith Rovers.”
