Hibs midfielder John McGinn named in Scotland squad
Hibs midfielder John McGinn has been called into the Scotland squad for the forthcoming internationals against Canada and Slovenia.
However, there is no place for Hearts goalkeeper Jack Hamilton, who had been included in the past four squads but drops out due to the return to fitness of Allan McGregor.
McGinn is likely to win his third cap in the friendly against the Canadians at Easter Road on Wednesday, March 22, and his involvement in the group for the World Cup Qualifier against Slovenia at Hampden on Sunday, March 26 means that he will almost certainly miss Hibs’ crucial Ladbrokes Championship match at home to Falkirk 24 hours earlier.
Full Scotland squad: Craig Gordon, David Marshall, Allan McGregor, Christophe Berra, Grant Hanley, Russell Martin, Charlie Mulgrew, Andrew Robertson, Kieran Tierney, Lee Wallace, Ikechi Anya, Stuart Armstrong, Barry Bannan, Scott Brown, Oliver Burke, Tom Cairney, Darren Fletcher, James Forrest, Ryan Fraser, James McArthur, John McGinn, James Morrison, Matt Phillips, Matt Ritchie, Robert Snodgrass, Steven Fletcher, Leigh Griffiths, Chris Martin, Steven Naismith, Jordan Rhodes.
