The Hoff passes through Edinburgh on Gumball 3000 rally

CULT TV and movie star David Hasselhoff passed through Edinburgh overnight while taking part in the Gumball 3000.

The Gumball 3000 is an annual British 3,000-mile international motor rally which takes place on public roads. It last passed through Edinburgh in 2014.

Last night thousands turned out to see the cavalcade of luxury sportscars, driven by celebrities including The Hoff and, according to the Gumball 3000 website, Snoop Dogg, EVE, Travis Barker, Xzibit and more.

This year’s Gumball 3000, from Dublin to Bucharest, is raising money for The Gumball 3000 Foundation, which was established in 2013 to benefit disadvantaged youth through educational, recreational and environmental-focused projects around the world.

Hasselhoff is best known for his roles in Knight Rider and Baywatch, but has also appeared in several movies, including The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Hop and Piranha 3DD.
