Housebreaker caught in act

A WOMAN returned from work to find a would-be burglar in the living room of her Midlothian house.

She found the male suspect in her home on Old Dalkeith Road in Danderhall at around 8pm last Thursday. Following a brief struggle, he managed to escape from the property.

He is described as white and in his late 20s, 5ft 4ins to 5ft 6ins tall with a slim to average build. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a dark jumper and dark trousers.
