Householders warned after break-ins

Police are issuing a home security warning to the public in East and Midlothian following a series of housebreakings in both counties.

Since the beginning of October, officers have observed an increase in the number of properties being broken into and are keen to ensure homeowners are taking the appropriate steps to protect their
homes.

Addresses in Pathhead, Port Seton, Haddington, Dirleton and Dunbar have recently been targeted, resulting in various items including electrical equipment, jewellery and cash being stolen from inside.
