Housing chief praises staff

The Capital’s housing leader has praised the efforts of staff at the neighbourhood office for the east of the city.

Councillor Paul Edie visited the East Edinburgh local office and said: “The East area has some of the most deprived residents in the city and life expectancy in some of the areas can be lower than parts of the third world.

“This picture of decay has been turned around with a lot of work in early intervention.”
