FUNDRAISING for the Alex Noble appeal will begin on Sunday with an event at the Meadows.

The family is hopeful more than 100 children will turn up at the meeting place at the Pavilion for 2pm for the Tiddler Toddle.

A range of entertainment events will be there, like beat-the-goalie and the sale of home baking.

They said it was as much about raising awareness of the condition as it was cash for potential treatment abroad.

Mr Noble added: “When he relapsed in June we didn’t think he’d still be here today.

“So to think he’ll be having fun with his friends and family and walking a mile on Sunday is really special.

“There will be something there for everyone hopefully, we’d just like as many people as possible to turn up.”
