HR firm set for move to Quartermile

A MAJOR international human resources and outsourcing firm is to relocate to a new office in the Capital.

Mercer is to move to new offices at the Quartermile One development, from its existing base in Hanover Street.

The move, expected to be completed in November, will allow it to accommodate new members to its team of nearly 100 pensions, investments and benefits professionals.

Steven Blackie, Mercer’s regional business leader in Scotland, said: “We have secured several major new clients in the past year, and our new location offers the potential to expand our teams further.”

The firm’s business is particularly focused on helping companies adopt human resource and related financial strategies to cope with business change.

Ben Reed, director of property firm Jones Lang LaSalle, which acted for Mercer, said: “The arrival of another well respected professional services firm can only be good news for the Quartermile development.

“Given Edinburgh’s current lack of Grade A office space offering large floor plates, Quartermile proved popular with Mercer due to its efficient layout and services and its central location.”
