THE owner of a stray rabbit labelled the “friendliest” ever rescued is being sought by the Scottish SPCA.
Scotland’s animal rescue charity picked up and kept the lop-eared creature after he was found hopping along Bridge Street in the city’s Fauldhouse on June 11.
The rabbit has been nicknamed Harold. Edinburgh centre manager Diane Stewart said: “He’s like a puppy and will come bounding up to the staff here, looking for cuddles. When someone walks by his run, he hops along beside them trying to get their attention, hoping they’ll play with him.
“We believe someone has put a lot of time and effort into Harold’s socialisation.”
