Injured woman rescued from Arthur’s Seat

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was rescued from Arthur’s Seat this morning.

A Scottish Fire & Rescue Service spokeswoman confirmed the woman was injured and had to be carried down from the landmark in a “basket stretcher”.

Five fire engines, including a height appliance and a special appliance, attended along with paramedics.

The details of the woman’s injuries are still unknown but she was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after the incident which happened at around 11.20am.
