Jak Trueman ball raises £13k for Team Jak Foundation
It has been just over a year since the 15-year-old from West Calder lost his battle against a rare form of blood cancer.
But his loved ones have continued the teenager’s legacy through the Team Jak Foundation, which supports young cancer patients and their families.

Hide AdThe total raised by the charity since last February now sits at just under £180,000.
Jak’s mother, Allison Barr, 45, said: “I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came and donated or helped in any way at all.
“We are so grateful to you all. We are lucky to have so many amazing supporters”. The ball at Prestonfield House Hotel was not the last of this month’s major fundraising events.
Charity leaders said the Jak Trueman Challenge Cup would be held on Sunday, from 1.30pm at Almondvale Stadium, with all proceeds going to the Team Jak Foundation.

Hide AdLast year’s event, attended by footballers including Rangers legend Nacho Novo and ex-Celtic star Frank McAvennie, raised £13,200 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
This year’s teams will be Forth One Allstars, led by Mark Martin, versus West Calder High School.
The school team will be made up of Jak’s friends, family and teachers.
