Jamie’s king of the Castle after journey

Jamie Wright was taking a well-earned rest at Edinburgh Castle yesterday after completing an exhausting fundraising journey all the way from Dunbar.

The 22-year-old cycled from Dunbar to Tranent before hopping off his bike and running all the way from there to the Castle Esplanade.

Jamie, from Ormiston, was helped along the route by his nephew Lee Wright, eight, who even mopped his brow at the end of the charity challenge.

The pair were hoping to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes, a services charity founded in October 2007 that aims to help soldiers and volunteers who have been wounded in conflict get the best medical care possible.
