Jumper to it for charity

A LEADING children’s charity is appealing to Lothian residents to don a Christmas jumper to raise money.

Save the Children said more than 300 people from schools and workplaces in the region had already signed up to donate £1 to wear their winter woolies on December 14.

Douglas Hamilton, Save the Children’s head of Scotland, said: “Christmas Jumper Day is a fun way for people of all ages to raise money during the festive period for vulnerable children around the world.

“We’re encouraging people to dig out their traditional Christmas jumpers, decorate one or even knit one to wear on the day.

“It’s fantastic that so many people in the Lothians are already taking part.”
