Karting about for Sick Kids

THE Sick Kids Friends Foundation is urging residents to take the wheel to raise funds at Raceland’s 24-hour Diamond Endurance Race.

The karting enthusiasts will host the 750-mile jaunt on May 5 and 6 at their outdoor racing circuit in East Lothian to raise money for the charity.

Teams of five are encouraged to take part using the new Sodie 270cc karts. The relay-style fundraiser will only allow teams to stop to change driver, refuel or carry out a quick mid-race service. Raceland has offered to match charity sponsorship up to £50 per team.
