Keep an eye out for lights

As firework night approaches, independent opticians in Lothian are urging people to protect their eyes from the bright lights.

Paul Surridge, a spokesman for the Eye Love My Local Independent Optician Campaign, said: “The number of eye injuries that occur at this time of year jumps dramatically.”
