The Vittoria Group has revealed that it was be closing two of its La Favorita branches in the Capital.
The family-owned business have revealed that they will be closing stores in Morningside and Blackhall at the end of July.
Despite the closures, delivery branches at Leith Walk and Portobello will remain open, with staff from the closing brances re-deployed at vacancies across the group.

Group chairman Tony Crolla said: “We are working hard to ensure that our estate is fit for the current market and we feel confident that a new focused business will provide strong opportunities for growth and profitability especially within our restaurant portfolio.
“Our teams are committed on continuing to deliver the levels of service, taste and the experience our loyal customers deserve and I cannot compromise on service or product quality. With this announcement today we can focus on expanding our efforts and resources to the wider group - namely the restaurants who have enjoyed very profitable trade in recent years.”

According to the group, La Favorita stores at Leith Walk and Portobello will be expanded to serve areas where stores have closed.
