Ladies drive charity event

Nearly 100 ladies will be taking part in the 10th anniversary Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland Ladies’ Driving Challenge at Ingliston near Edinburgh this weekend.

The challenge sees participants drive a monster articulated truck, take charge of a very big bus and master a fire engine, while there is also a 4x4 driving blindfold course and an AA fault finding foray.

Senior fundraising manager Andrea McIntyre said: “The LDC is a really great event thanks to the wholehearted enthusiasm and attitude that the teams bring along.

“We’re thrilled to be celebrating our 10th successful year and really hope we can beat the £16,000 raised last year.”
