A LAWYERS’ library has scooped a prestigious award in recognition of a “dedicated and excellent service”.

The Capital’s Advocates Library, in Parliament House, was given the accolade by the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL) at its annual conference in Glasgow.

The 2013 LexisLibrary Award was in the category of best legal information service (non-commercial sector).

Andrea Longson, senior librarian, accepted the award at the event in Glasgow. She said: “I am extremely proud that the Advocates Library team has been recognised in this way for the contribution it makes towards the high
quality service provided by
Faculty members.”
