Libyan war ten treated

Have your say

AROUND ten casualties from the Libyan conflict have been treated in the Lothians over the past month, it has emerged.

Health chiefs in the Capital helped secure the care for the north Africans, many of whom had lost limbs during the long and bloody uprising in Libya, which eventually led to the killing of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.

It is understood many of the civilians were arriving in Edinburgh for prosthetic management, though it is not thought the care impacted on patients locally.
