AN employee at a designer store sold his company’s watches and jewellery on eBay.

Jason Farmer was caught after a suspicious boss at the Fossil shop in Livingston designer outlet learned new stock was being advertised on the internet auction site.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard Farmer, 22, was interviewed and later charged with the theft of nine watches and two bracelets.

Farmer, of Strathlogie, Westfield, West Lothian, pleaded guilty to stealing the jewellery, watches and a wallet between November 13 and December 18 last year.

Sheriff Susan Craig today sentenced him to 120 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to be electronically tagged under a 7pm to 7am curfew for ten weeks.
