Five of the numbers in the Lotto HotPicks ‘Pick 5’ game matched up with five of the six main numbers from that week’s Lotto draw.

The winning Lotto numbers on that date were 8, 26, 27, 29, 49 and 58.

It comes after a retired couple from Aberdeenshire scooped a whopping £57.9 million EuroMillions jackpot this week.

Fred and Lesley Higgins, who hedged their bets on the 10 July jackpot, came forward as the winners of the life-changing amount despite their lucky ticket having been mistakenly ripped up by a local shop employee and put in the bin.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
