Lover pinned to floor in stabbing

AN internet romance ended violently after a woman plunged a knife through her lover’s arm at a home in East Lothian.

Tracie Pearce pinned 47-year-old William Dryburgh to the floor of his kitchen, such was the force of the stabbing, a court heard yesterday.

She pleaded guilty to assault to the danger of life and will remain on bail until sentencing in December.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard how Pearce, 42, from Shropshire met Mr Dryburgh online in October last year and had moved to Tranent to live with him.

She attacked him after he received a parcel from an ex-partner.
