Lyn gets pally at Caley

Lyn Paul was reunited with Caledonian Hotel doorman Billy Garioch, almost 30 years after he helped rescue her from a mob of fans desperate to see the signing sensation.

Lyn was back in the Capital for the first time since performing with pop group The New Seekers at the Usher Hall in 1972, and returned to the hotel where she and her bandmates famously had to be rescued when a crowd of over-enthusiastic fans pushed the revolving door off its hinges in their rush to meet the group.
